The Oyster Bay Jewish Center, is a wonderful family oriented Synagogue originally created out of a strong desire to bring the richness and the beauty of our heritage into our community.

When my wife and I first arrived here, almost seven years ago, we fell in love with the warmth and charm of this little Temple, Conservative in practice and egalitarian in spirit. Here at the Oyster Bay Jewish Center, men and women alike, are free to participate in all spiritual and ritual observances and celebrations. Our Religious School, of which my wife is principal, offers perhaps the finest individualized program in Jewish Learning, and extra- curricular programming for children of all ages. All children, regardless of their ages, are encouraged take their own place on the Bimah next to me, so that from early on, they will feel at home enough to one day, G-d willing, take my place in leading our Congregation.

At the Oyster Bay Jewish Center, our members are considered more than congregants. Here, everyone is family, and as family, we experience and share in every part of Jewish life together. During times of spiritual and ritual observances, we are with you. During times of special occasions such as a Brit Milah, the naming of a Baby, the B'nai Mitzvot, Auf Ruf, Wedding, Special Anniversary or the Renewal of ones Vows, we are there not only to celebrate with you, but to share in your joy. And during times of great difficulty, or personal tragedy, we are there to comfort you, to help you and to be by your side.
